Join us in the Winehouse Cellar as we welcome back our good friend Corey Drake for an in depth look at the famous hill town of Montalcino and the majestic Sangiovese it’s terroir produces: Brunello!
The vineyards feature different terroirs: the soils range from galestro to sand and clay, with significant variations in weather conditions linked to the Mediterranean influence of the sea or to the wide day-night temperature range due to the proximity to Monte Amiata. We will explore these diverse micro climates through the tasting lens of three legendary producers: Val di Suga, Gaja & Biondi Santi.
This will be a seated event, limited to 15 people. Corey will describe each wine and winery in depth, allowing you to ask questions while gaining a wonderful understanding of the different philosophies and terroirs behind each.
